Dane Wallace started studying music at the age of 7 learning piano. Shortly after at age 10, he started playing the drum set and guitar. After studying for years through private instruction he attended Berklee College of Music as a drum set principal. Originally a dual major, song writing and performance, he opted to narrow his studies to a performance major. While there, he studied with drum set legends such as Mike Mangini, Dave DiCenso, Rod Morgenstien, and Larry Finn learning all styles of music. He graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelors of Music in Drum Set Performance.
Since graduating, Dane has been teaching privately, doing session work, playing shows and music festivals. Making the act of learning music as fun as possible, he tailors his lessons to what each student wants to learn, focusing on technique and musicality. Often times encouraging his students to bring in specific songs they want to learn and are interested in.
